How Are Amazon Warehouse Workers Coping with the Coronavirus?

The Walkouts Continue

The way Amazon is handling the pandemic has led to workers striking. Walkouts started back in late March at some warehouses and they continue today, in Europe as well as the U.S. Many of the walkouts are happening because a worker at the warehouse has tested positive for COVID-19. Colleagues of the worker are concerned that they may have already been infected and blame Amazon for not taking stricter measures to prevent the spread of the virus.

To date, dozens of Amazon warehouses have had at least one positive case of COVID-19. However, we only know this because of leaks from employees. The company itself still refuses to provide any details.
