Can you track your stimulus check?

They didn't go out before Easter, but the stimulus checks are coming, starting April 13. The bad news is: the only check tracking so far allows you to find out after your money has arrived.

This money would have been much appreciated already by millions of families across the US. But never mind the Easter spending, 1 in 3 American families are less than three paychecks away from being forced to skip on bills, even without any spending on medical emergencies like COVID-19 hospitalisation.

We all know the stimulus checks of $1,200 per adult (provided you earn under $75,000 annually) and $500 per child are coming, but for millions they couldn't arrive soon enough. The good news is many of the first round of checks are expected to arrive during the week starting April 13. These will come to taxpayers with direct deposit banking information provided.

In total the first round is expected to see up to 60 million checks issued. Unfortunately, as of now the IRS hasn't provided any possibility of tracking your check, like the one used for tracking tax refunds. It would be extremely helpful for those wondering about April and May's family budgets., but is just not there.

The only service the IRS provides at this point is a confirmation letter that will be sent 15 days after payment, to your last known address. But this feature is only useful for those who might erronously not receive their money in due time.

As the stimulus check program is only being developed these days, updates and tracking may be available in the future.
