Maceys - The history
It all started in 1947 when Walt Macey and Dale A. Jones founded "Save-A-Nickel-Market" in Rose Park, Utah. From those beginnings, Macey's has grown from a small store to a multi-store chain. From its inception, the store provided personalized service.
The late 1990s saw big changes for the company - after being purchased by Associated Food Stores in 1999, the store continued to be a destination for thousands of Utah families looking to do their grocery shopping and eat a delicious soft-serve ice cream cone. And for those brave enough to try it, the famous Kong Kone, a soft-serve ice cream that reaches nearly a foot in height, is one of the most discussed treats for ice cream lovers around the world.
Today, Macey's is one of the more popular groceries in the United States. As of today, it sells for Providence, Ogden, West Jordan, Sandy, Murray, Holladay, Orem, Provo, Spanish Fork, Lehi, Pleasant Grove, Highland, Tooele, and Olympus Hills, Santaquin, and Taylorsville, and many more. The chain is constantly growing and has a lot of interesting discounts for its customers.
