Staples - The history
The first store of Staples was opened on May 1, 1986, in Brighton, Massachusetts. The shop was co-founded by Leo Kahn and Thomas G. Stemberg. Thanks to such store opening, office supplies became more accessible, and affordable, for everyone. And surprisingly, in those days easy access to such materials was not something obvious at all.
Now, it is a multinational office supply retailing corporation operating mostly in the North America where it currently has over 1,500 stores.
The company is headquartered in Framingham, Massachusetts.
Staples sells, in both stores and online, office supplies, office machines, promotional products, technology, and also offers other business services.
