Lunardis - The history
The company was founded in 1953 by Italian immigrant Alfredo Lunardi and is today under the leadership of his son, CEO Paul Lunardi. In 2006, it acquired the Danville store from rival Andronico's Market.
Lunardi's offers a huge selection of groceries, seasonal and specialty items, industrial products, a variety of accessories, and private label clothing that is known for its quality and original designs. The stores are divided into smaller and larger ones, open during designated hours or 24 hours a day, all 7 days a week, except holidays. Attractive opening hours combined with a large number of outlets guarantee accessibility and ease of shopping.
The company operates approximately half a dozen stores in the San Francisco Bay Area. Aimed at high-end customers, these stores have some of the largest cheese and wine selections in the area, offering both everyday favorites and rare, hard-to-find cheeses and wine vintages.
