Food Bazaar - The history
Food Bazaar was established by Francis An, in Queen New York, in 1988. Francis An, Korean born lived in Argentina during his early childhood years. Later he did move to New York. While living in New York, he did notice that something was missing. He did realize that the mainstream business was neglecting the needs of the minorities and the immigrants.
He resolved to change this horrible business status. Having lived in Latin American, he discovered that most supermarkets do not have a wide variety of Latin American ingredients. In 1988, he opened Bogopa his first supermarket in Queens, New York. Bogopa is a Korean name which stands for “Yearning for you”. His vision was to provide every need s of its customer especially the minorities and immigrants.
