Super King Market - The history
Super King Markets (SKM) grocery store was opened in 1993 by the Fermanian family, which was the beginning of quality and service in Southern California. After more than 20 years in business, the company has grown and evolved, building a substantial market share in and around Los Angeles. Today, SKM operates 8 markets, with locations in Altadena, Anaheim Claremont, Los Angeles, Northridge, Santa Ana, Glendale and Van Nuys.
Daniel Barth, the general manager of SKM, has more than 30 years of expertise in the grocery industry, working in a range of markets throughout the region. Barth aims to build and maintain a strong team, improving customer service and building inventories that meet customer demands.
The chain of markets stands out from competitors with a broad and diverse variety. Barth explained that Super King Market cater to various ethnic demographics and have built a niche in international foods where they have some specialty departments to serve their target market better.
