Orscheln Farm and Home - The history
W.C Orscheln had a dream of providing the best and affordable farming equipment to his community. In 1960, W.C Orscheln managed to kick-start his dream by opening up his first store in Sedalia, Missouri. W.C.Orscheln who was commonly known as colonel hired his son Gerald A. (Jerry) Orscheln. Together they're transformed the Orscheln Farm and Home into one of the biggest retailer shops in the country.
By 2003, under the leadership of Jerry, the company had 85 different stores in different parts of the country. They continued growing and to date, they have 165 stores in Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, and Oklahoma.
