Hen House - The history
In 1923, Sidney and Mollie Ball started a small neighborhood grocery store on the corner of 6th and Stewart Streets in Kansas City, Kansas. There was no money to hire help, so the two ran the store from early in the morning until late in the evening. Such are the beginnings of this store, which later grew better and better each year.
There are now nearly 1,200 establishments under this banner There are grocery, meat, and liquor stores of all sizes. These are stores in the nearest neighborhood of various sizes, including large grocery stores. Hen House is not a franchise, but a partnership group that was formed to support American-owned stores.
The promotional campaign always starts on Thursdays and ends on Wednesdays. On the dozen or so pages, customers will always find about 100 products at great prices. The assortment includes meat and cold cuts, dairy products, sweets, spices, frozen ready-made products, beverages, including beers, household chemistry and cosmetics. Also worth noting are the premium private label products.
